The Christmas Season

fullsizeoutput_48

It’s officially the Christmas season! The trees are flocked, Christmas movies are playing on the television non-stop, and the kiddos are making their lists for Santa Claus!

If you’ve followed me for any amount of time now, you most likely know that I am a kid at heart when its comes to the holiday season! I wait all year for hot cocoa, holiday baking and Christmas movies! I love all of the festive tastes, smells, sights & sounds that Christmas brings!

IMG_4443This little Christmas scented candle from Sweet Water Candle Co. was PERFECT to kick off my candle collection for this season. I thought long and hard about how to describe why this candle smells SO much like Christmas to me, but then I realized that their own description says it best!

“Our Christmas soy candle is all the memories of past and present, into one candle.  Close your eyes to remember waking up on Christmas morning, the scent of fresh-cut Christmas tree while apple cider and cinnamon invokes your senses.  Christmas cookies are baking in the oven while cloves and orange peel fills the air.  Create new memories while burning your very own Christmas candle.”

When you read this.. you may think, “Well, they all say that!” But let me tell you, it’s really that great!!!

Go check out their website https://sweetwatercandleco.com/ and find out for yourself! There are so many fun scents to choose from, and you can use code: cedarsandgraceco25 for 25% off of your order!

Tell them Beth at Cedars & Grace Co. sent you!

No Bake Cookies

Thanksgiving is close my friends! It is time for meal planning, recipe browsing, and eating way too much good food!! I thought this would be the perfect time to share one of my very favorite cookie recipes with you.

Ingredients:
1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
3 cups of oatmeal
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Supplies:
wax paper
1 large bowl
1 medium size sauce pan to boil the butter, milk, and sugar
1 teaspoon to measure vanilla & drop the cookies
measuring cup

Below are the brands that I try to use.

Step 1: Place chocolate chips, oatmeal, and vanilla in to large bowl. **Hint about the vanilla… I tend to pour vanilla over the spoon, holding it over the bowl, and let it overflow with vanilla by a few drops! The extra vanilla gives it a little something special if you ask me.

Step 2: Combine the butter, milk, and sugar in to the sauce pan. Bring to a rolling boil and continue for 1 minute.

Step 3: Remove the sauce pan from heat, and pour the liquid mixture in to the large bowl with the dry ingredients (chocolate chips, oatmeal and vanilla). Stir immediately and mix well.

Step 4: Lay wax paper on top of the counter space and begin dropping the cookie mixture by the spoon full on to the wax paper.

Step 5: Let sit until cool to the touch.

My last recommendation is to hurry and hide some for yourself, because they won’t last long!

Hope you love these little cookies!

Sincerely,
