Grove Co. & Mrs. Meyers Clean Day

IMG_6865

Happy Monday friends! Does anyone else like to wake up and clean the house first thing in the morning?? I love to have the rest of the day to enjoy the house and all of our friends and family that enter it, without having to clean up during the time I get to spend with them!

Today I am excited to try out a new scent from Mrs. Meyers Clean Day, which has always been one of my very favorite cleaning products. The scents are not over-powering, they are made with essential oils, and much better for your family and your home than the cleaning products that you would normally grab at the grocery store!

The walnut scouring pads and kitchen towels are new to me, but let me just say “WOW” already! I am in love with these kitchen towels. They are so thick and soft!

Take my word for it, you will be glad you tried some of these awesome products from Grove. Just click the link below and grab your free gift while you are thinking about it!

New Year & New Beginnings

It’s so hard to believe that it’s 2018! I don’t know about you, but I am super excited! This year I have two big goals. First and most important, I plan to truly study the Bible. This is something I haven’t made enough of a priority in my life, and this year I am finally changing that! Second, I am finally going to try selling signs and shirts at local markets! So if you are the praying kind, I’d appreciate your prayers for both of these goals!

Another big change for the shop this year is that every Sunday (excluding holidays and vacations) I will be featuring a new faith inspired item!! I hope that this will help me to stay in the Word, and maybe even help you learn some new stuff too! You can also watch for new Easter signs and shirts to come to the shop by the end of January.

Now that all of the Christmas decor has been purged, organized, and put away.. I am trying to rethink the look of my home decor. The photo above truly shows the colors and feel that I plan to work in to my home throughout the year. I also hope to start using holiday decor that only adds to this theme, instead of having to take it all away just to put out a months worth of holiday decor. Simple is good.. and that is my goal for this year!

Until next time.. happy decorating!

Sincerely,
Beth @ Cedars & Grace Co.

Giving Thanks

happy thanksgiving

I hope that you and your family are doing what it is that you like to do for this special time of giving thanks. And I hope that you take some time to really think about all that we ALL have to be thankful for! We have so many blessings that we over look and take for granted each day.

For our family, Thanksgiving Day will be spent cooking way too much yummy food, watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, taking naps, and waking up only to eat MORE food and watch MORE holiday movies!! And most importantly giving thanks to God for all that He has blessed us with.

Whatever it is that you and your friends or family do, I hope that you take time to enjoy it. Make new memories and start some new traditions. After all, each tradition was started by someone just like us.. deciding to try something new and fun with the ones they love!

Also, remember that holidays don’t have to be perfect. Don’t add any unnecessary stress to your plate. The dishes will keep piling up, because you are blessed with wonderful food to eat! The floor will be dirty because the children are happily playing and making memories. (I am a firm believer that a messy house is a happy home by the way… no Instagram perfect photo shoot is a fun holiday!) The FAMILY PHOTO.. may have one person looking at the pie on the counter, and one cousin who is poking someone and making them cry, and that Grandpa is giving you the stink eye because he really just wants to go sit in his recliner. But I challenge you to step back and take a look at that “mess” of a family, friends, co-workers, or neighbors you have, and realize that God gave them to you for a purpose!

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
1 Chronicles 16:34

I also want to tell you all that I am thankful for you! I am thankful for each and every one of you who cheers me along and supports me along this journey! Thank you so much for being my cheerleaders!

Happy Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,
Beth @ Cedars & Grace Co.

No Bake Cookies

Thanksgiving is close my friends! It is time for meal planning, recipe browsing, and eating way too much good food!! I thought this would be the perfect time to share one of my very favorite cookie recipes with you.

Ingredients:
1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
3 cups of oatmeal
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Supplies:
wax paper
1 large bowl
1 medium size sauce pan to boil the butter, milk, and sugar
1 teaspoon to measure vanilla & drop the cookies
measuring cup

Below are the brands that I try to use.

Step 1: Place chocolate chips, oatmeal, and vanilla in to large bowl. **Hint about the vanilla… I tend to pour vanilla over the spoon, holding it over the bowl, and let it overflow with vanilla by a few drops! The extra vanilla gives it a little something special if you ask me.

Step 2: Combine the butter, milk, and sugar in to the sauce pan. Bring to a rolling boil and continue for 1 minute.

Step 3: Remove the sauce pan from heat, and pour the liquid mixture in to the large bowl with the dry ingredients (chocolate chips, oatmeal and vanilla). Stir immediately and mix well.

Step 4: Lay wax paper on top of the counter space and begin dropping the cookie mixture by the spoon full on to the wax paper.

Step 5: Let sit until cool to the touch.

My last recommendation is to hurry and hide some for yourself, because they won’t last long!

Hope you love these little cookies!

Sincerely,
